Rugby and netball players as far afield as Nelspruit and Thabazimbi joined local primary school learners to participate in the Laerskool Pietersburg-Noord (Noordskool) Primary Super 8 rugby and netball tournament hosted at two different venues in the city recently.
The eight participating schools were divided into two groups and utilised sport fields at Noordskool and Hoërskool Pietersburg. Group 1 consisted of Laerskool Phalaborwa, Laerskool Thabazimbi, Laerskool Bosveld and Laerskool Kruger Park while Group 2 was made up of the hosts, Laerskool Lydenburg, Laerskool Bergland and Pietersburg Laerskool. Reportedly all participating teams had to play four matches each in both netball and rugby.
By the time of going to print, results and additional information had not been made available to Polokwane Observer.
