Sterkloop plots, Place of Safety and surrounding extensions to be affected by planned electricity maintenance

The planned interruption by Eskom will be on Thursday, 18 July 2019 from 08:00 to 16:00.

POLOKWANE – Maintenance on the Alpha substation will take place on Thursday, 18 July, resulting in an electricity shutdown in parts of Polokwane, reports the Municipality.

The planned interruption by Eskom will take place on Thursday, 18 July 2019 from 08:00 to 16:00.

Municipal Spokesperson, Thipa Selala says the maintenance will affect all areas around the Alpha substation along the Matlala road including the Sterkloop plots, Place of Safety, Legae la Batho, and Extensions 40, 44, 71, 75, 76 and 78.

“Electricity supply will be restored once Eskom technicians are done with maintenance work. All affected stakeholders are advised to switch off and treat all electrical wiring as live during this time to avoid injury and any damages that may occur when the electricity is restored,” his statement concluded.
