The University of Limpopo (UL) is inviting all its Namibia based alumni to the inaugural meeting of the Namibia Alumni Chapter to be held in Windhoek on 27 July at a venue still to be confirmed. Johannes Selepe, UL acting spokesperson, indicated that the meeting would seek to organise UL graduates who reside in Namibia into a formal alumni chapter.
“The aim is to rekindle friendships and go down memory lane among graduates, promote a meaningful network among alumni for them to contribute to the development of their alma mater. It further aims to elect an alumni executive committee that will volunteer to drive the objectives of both the chapter and the university.
“Our alumni chapters play a pivotal role in matters such as mentorship, donations, and support. The chapter will also afford former students an opportunity to network and career building,” Selepe said.
