[TAKE NOTE] Planned power outage to affect residents in Bendor Ext 91 & 95 this weekend

This is due to rerouting of cables from an old switching station to the newly built Thornhill switching station.

POLOKWANE – Residents and surrounding businesses in Bendor Extension 91 and 95 will be affected by a planned power outage this weekend due to the rerouting of cables.

Spokesperson, Thipa Selala, says the municipality will be rerouting 11 kilovolts (kV) and Medium Volt (MV) cables from the old temporary 11kV switching station to the newly built Thornhill 11kV switching station.

The rerouting activity will take place from 08h00 to 16h00 on both Saturday, 31 August 2019 and Sunday, 01 September 2019. This will affect parts of Eagle’s Crest in Bendor Extension 95 on both days and Waterberry Estate in Bendor Extension 91, on Sunday.

“Power supply will be restored once our technicians are done with the activity. All users are urged to treat all electrical circuits as live during the rerouting to avoid injury and damage,” Selala concluded.
