Parents and guardians of Noordjieland Pre-Primary School were bursting with pride and joy as they watched the toddlers perform during the school’s Sing Along Concert hosted at Laerskool Pietersburg Noord recently.
The programme featured all 150 Grade R learners singing along to well-known children’s worship songs such as ‘All follow Jesus’, ‘I am as free as a bee’, ‘Father’ and ‘Jesus loves me’ among others. Principal Marené van Deventer indicated that this was an annual event that allows the kids to have fun and for parents to see their children perform on stage.
According to Van Deventer it took the learners and educators eight weeks to prepare for the big evening. She said while it hadn’t been a walk in the park the team nevertheless succeeded through hard work and it was all worthwhile.
Van Deventer thanked learners and educators for making the concert a great success and commended the parents and guardians for their continued support.
