PEPPS College held its inter-house swimming gala last Monday and a number of records were improved.
Christine Mbite bettered the u.16 girls 25 m butterfly record with nearly 2 seconds when she finished in a time of 15,28. The previous record time of 17,12 seconds was set by Anna Lennox in 2013. House Zeus’ u.14 4×25 m freestyle relay team rewrote the history books after completing the event in a time of 1:28.10.
The previous record belonged to house Apollo who completed the same distance in a time of 1:34.45 in 2008. Zeus emerged victorious on the day followed by team Apollo in second and team Poseidon in third place.
