Savannah Mall ensures that shoppers’ safety comes first following robbery

After this weekend's incident at the mall, Savannah has ensured their shoppers that their safety comes first.

POLOKWANE – Savannah Mall has told Review that their customers’ safety remains a priority for them and that they have upped their safety measurements during “silly season”.

Review contacted Karen Botha, Centre Manager, in regards to the incident which occurred this weekend. In a statement issued by the police, a couple were allegedly robbed in the parking lot of a substantial amount of money.

Botha told Review that according to their CCTV-footage, a woman was robbed and that no shots were fired during the incident.

Botha said that the mall has security measures in place to avoid such instances, especially over the festive season, to ensure that their shoppers stay safe. She said that extra security personnel are employed during this period. She further said that the police regularly visit the mall to ensure their visibility and that there are also unmarked police officers who patrol the mall.
