Don’t know what to do with that left-over chicken? Why not try this delicious option?

Review spoke to Guy Foodie, Food Technicians to find out how to turn left over chicken into delicious yummy sandwiches for the whole family to enjoy.

POLOKWANE – “It’s really easy to make these delicious filling sandwiches. All you need to make these is left over chicken breast, some bread, buns or even a wrap, some onions and peppers, and some tomatoes. As food technicians we have had to be creative and resourceful when it comes to food, introducing cost effective methods to making food,” explains Michael Mongezi Maditse.

The group consists of Mahlatse Given Kebareng, Thato Masegela, Mongezi Michael Maditsi and Kagiso Molapo.

All four young men are food lovers who hold various qualifications in different fields and have formed the company Guy Foodie, as a way to help unite people over great meals and company at social gatherings.

Ingredients:

  • Bread slices or Hamburger buns or even Pitta Bread wraps
  • Butter
  • Fresh onion rings and Pepper (red, onion and orange) slices
  • Tomatoes to make your Salsa salad
  • Fresh Jalapenos
  • Soft Cheese slices

Instructions:

  • Fry the left over chicken strips for 5 minutes just to roast them and make them crunchy.
  • Prepare your tomato salsa salad by chopping your tomatoes, some onion, peppers, jalapenos and then mix with balsamic vinegar, worchester sauce and a bit of lemon juice and some salt to season.
  • From there you take your bread, hamburger buns or pita bread wrap and spread butter on them.
  • Then place a slice of cheese (preference) and then your chicken strips.
  • Place some tomato salsa salad and close the sandwich.
  • Enjoy!
