Polokwane Municipality’s supplementary valuation roll for the years 2019 to 2024 has been completed and will be available for inspection from 1 April at the municipality’s administrative head office in Landdros Maré Street, while objections will be accepted until 29 May. A copy of the roll will also be available on the municipal website, www.polokwane.gov.za.
In terms of the Local Government: Municipal Property Rates Act, any owner of property or other person who so desires may lodge an objection with the Municipal Manager in respect of any matter reflected in or omitted from the supplementary valuation roll within the prescribed period. Attention is specifically drawn to the fact that in terms of section 50(2) of the Act an objection must be in relation to a specific individual property and not against the valuation roll as such.
The prescribed forms for the lodging of objections are obtainable at the rates hall at the Civic Centre in Landdros Maré Street, as well as the municipal offices in Seshego, Mankweng, Sebayeng and Aganang and completed forms should be directed to the same offices or mailed to the municipality at P O Box 111, Polokwane 0700.
Enquiries may be directed to Jacob Majola on 015 290 2571 or Thandi Maila or Mahlodi Moremi on 015 290 2341 as well as on valuation@polokwane.gov.za.
