Burned bodies: ‘Mob justice cannot be ruled out’
Police Spokesperson, Brig Motlafela Mojapelo said it is believed that the the deceased were severely assaulted before they were burned.
LIMPOPO – Three counts of murder are being investigated after three burned bodies were found in a bush in Naganeng village on 15 March at 11:00. This has lead the police in Dennilton outside Groblersdal to launch a manhunt for unknown suspect(s).
According Police Spokesperson Brig Motlafela Mojapelo, a passerby informed the police who went to the scene accompanied by medical emergency services. The bodies of three men aged between 20 and 31 were discovered next to a Hundayi truck.

The three men have been identified as Lovemore Basera (20), Salos Sithole (23) and Owen Ncube (31). Mojapelo added in the statement that it is believed that the the deceased were severely assaulted before they were burned as there were several stones found around the scene.
Lt Gen Nneke Ledwaba, Provincial Police Commissioner, has condemned this incident and has instructed the police to hunt down the killers and bring them to book.
The motive behind the killings are subject to police investigations but mob justice cannot be ruled out.
