2 dead and multiple injured in R521 collision

POLOKWANE – A head-on collision between a sedan and a minibus taxi left two dead and multiple injured.

The incident happened near Kalkbank farm on the R521 (Dendron road) on Thursday afternoon.

It is alleged the driver of the sedan vehicle lost control of the vehicle ,veered in front of on coming traffic and crashed head-on with the taxi, reports ArriveAlive.

The taxi overturned. Two occupants from the taxi died on the scene and 13 others including the driver of the taxi sustained serious injuries.

The exact cause of the collision will form part of a police investigation.
