250 new Covid-19 cases in Limpopo
The province recorded a record high in the number of cases reported in a 24-hour period, according to the Department of Health.

LIMPOPO – The province recorded 250 new cases with the total at 2 399, according to the Department of Health.
According to the latest figures released, the Polokwane and Thabazimbi municipal areas are the highest contributors, with Polokwane recording 76 new cases and Thabazimbi 46.
Of the total new cases reported, the Capricorn district leads with 90 cases. A total of 76 are in Polokwane, 13 in Lepelle Nkumpi and one in Molemole.
Waterberg district had the second most cases, with 49 recorded in Thabazimbi, 11 in Mogalakwena, five in Lephalale, three in Bela-Bela and one in Modimolle-Mookgophong.
Sekhukhune reported 38 new cases, with 17 in Fetakgomo Tubatse, 12 in Ephraim Mogale, seven in Elias Motsoaledi Municipality and two in Makhuduthamaga.
Vhembe saw an increase of 36 new cases, 16 in Makhado, 10 in Thulamela, six in Musina and four in the Collins Chabane area.
A total of 16 new case were reported in the Mopani district, with seven each in Tzaneen and Giyani and two in Phalaborwa.
The province now has 33 deaths, 903 recoveries and 1463 active cases. Three cases are in transit and one unallocated.
