LNW closes Polokwane office due to several positive Covid-19 cases

Lepelle Northern Water says the decision was taken to ensure the safety of their employees and members of the public.

POLOKWANE – The head office of Lepelle Northern Water (LNW), situated at 1 Landdros Maré Street, will be closed temporarily.

According to a statement issued by their communications department, the decision was made after several employees tested positive for Covid-19.

“The decision was taken to ensure the safety of our employees and members of the public. The office will be closed from today, 6 August and work will resume on 20 August,” the statement reads.

The statement added that decontamination of the offices will be conducted.

“We wish to assure our customers and stakeholders that all essential services will still be provided. All the schemes will still be working and pumping water to the respective municipalities and customers.”

Lepelle Northern Water assured its customers that the supply of bulk water services will also not be hindered and that Simon Mpamonyane should be contacted at 082 905 1830 or simonm@lepelle.co.za in case of an emergency.
