[TAKE NOTE] De Wet Drive closed due to pipe burst
A section of De Wet Drive will be temporarily closed to allow municipal workers to repair the damaged pipe
POLOKWANE – De Wet Drive between Bendor Drive and Van Niekerk Street will be temporarily closed to allow municipal workers to repair a burst pipe.
Thipa Selala, Spokesperson for the Polokwane Municipality says the road is currently closed to allow the water team to dig around the damaged pipe.
“The estimated time for repairs is around six hours and motorists are advised to use alternative routes until the work is completed.”
Water supply to parts of Bendor has been affected and residents are advised to keep all taps closed to avoid loss of water once supply is restored.
He added that areas receiving water are urged to use water sparingly. Water supply will be restored once the pipe has been fixed.
Water challenges can be reported to the municipal Water and Sanitation Call Centre at 015 023 5376 / 5629.
