POLOKWANE – The road has been opened and the fire has been extinguished. No injuries have been reported.

POLOKWANE – Polokwane Municipality’s traffic, fire and rescue services have been deployed at a veld fire in Vermikuliet Street, next to the SANDF’s Mapungubwe Regiment.

According to a statement by Municipal Spokesperson, Thipa Selala, the street is closed between Witklip and Landdros Maré Street.

“Road users are advised to exercise extreme caution and use alternative routes,” Selala said.
