NUM marches to Ivanplats over ‘unfair retrenchment’

LIMPOPO – According to a statement issued by the organisation, the mine served workers, some of who are affiliated with NUM with a notice of retrenchment on 27 May. “NUM approached the CCMA who facilitation the process, however no agreement could be reached, within 60 days as per section 189A. On 5 August the workers were served with termination of service letters.

Ivanplats Mine could not immediately comment on the matter.
