Limpopo Covid-19 recoveries surpass 12 000 mark
The province's cases currently stands at 13 007. Here is a breakdown per district and municipality

LIMPOPO – According to the latest figures issued by the Limpopo Health Department, the province stands at 13 007 cases of which 702 are active. A total of 12 126 people have recovered and 179 deaths have been recorded.

A total of 79 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours, of which the majority were reported in the Capricorn district. Polokwane had 21 new cases followed by Lepelle Nkumpi with three. Two cases were recorded in Molemole.
Sekhukhune had 15 new cases, Mopani had 14 new cases, Waterberg had 13 new cases each and Vhembe had 11 new cases.
In Mopani, Phalaborwa, Letaba and Tzaneen each had four new cases while Greater Giyani had two new cases.
Sekhukhune’s new cases were recorded in Makhuduthamaga (4), Fetakgomo/Tubatse (6) and Elias Motsoaledi (5).
Thabazimbi recorded the most new cases in the Waterberg district, with six new cases. Four new cases were recorded in Modimolle-Mookgophong and three in Bela-Bela.
The Vhembe district had 11 new cases of which five was recorded in Thulamela, four in Collins Chabane and one each in Makhado and Musina.
The Health Department confirmed that 81 635 tests were conducted of which 41 680 in the public sector and 39 955 in the private sector.
