591 active Covid-19 cases in Limpopo

As of 5 September a total of 12 740 people have recovered from the virus.

LIMPOPO – According to the latest figures issued by the Limpopo Health Department, the province stands at 13 545 cases of which 591 are active.

A total of 12 740 people have recovered and 214 deaths have been recorded.

A total of 107 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours, of which the majority were reported in Polokwane.

The Capricorn District recorded a total of 32 new cases; 28 in Polokwane and two each in the Lepelle Nkumpi and Blouberg municipalities, respectively. In the Vhembe district, Makhado recorded 17 new cases, six in Collins Chabane, three in Musina and three in Thulamela. The Waterberg district reported 19 new cases; six in Modimolle-Mokgophong, six in Mogalakwena, four in Thabazimbi and three in Bela Bela.

A total of 14 new cases were reported in the Mopani district, five in Tzaneen, five in Ba-Phalaborwa, two in Maruleng and one each in the Letaba and Giyani municipalities, respectively. The Sekhukhune district recorded 13 new cases, with five in Fetakgomo Tubatse, five in Elias Motsoaledi, two in Makhuduthamaga and one in Ephraim Mogale.
