Two dead, four injured in yet another head-on collision in Limpopo
Eight people have died on the provincial roads this weekend,confirmed Mike Maringa, Media Liaison for the Department of Transport.
LIMPOPO – Two more people have been killed in a head-on collision this weekend, bringing the total number of road fatalities to eight.
The latest incident happened on the D3641 road near Nsami Dam outside Giyani in the early hours of Sunday, 6 September.

Mike Maringa, Media Liaison for the Department of Transport confirmed that two people died and four were injured after two sedans collided head-on. “Both drivers (male) were certified dead on the scene. Three passengers sustained minor injuries and a fourth passenger was critical. They were all rushed to Nkhensai Hospital.”
The exact cause of the incident will be determined by police investigations, however, reckless driving has not been ruled out.

On Friday, 4 September the driver of a sedan and a female passenger died after two vehicle collided on the R71, near Tarantara in the Mopani district. A third passenger was seriously injured and was transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. The driver of the second vehicle fled the scene.
