WATCH: Clicks Cycad in Polokwane vandalised ahead of national store shutdown
Clicks store at the Cycad Shopping Centre was damaged during a suspected petrol-bombing in the early hours of Monday morning.

POLOKWANE – Video footage supplied to Review, shows an unknown man smashing the front window of the store. Thereafter, he flees the scene while what seems to be a petrol bomb, is thrown at the door.
Police officials have been contacted for more information on the incident, but are yet to comment.
“We do not condone the petrol-bombing incident at the Clicks store in the Cycad Shopping Centre, however, are thankful that it was done.” These were the words of EFF’s Provincial Chairperson, Jossey Buthane when he addressed the crowds outside the Clicks store at the Seshego Circle Centre on Monday, hours after the incident.

On Sunday, the EFF called for a nationwide shutdown of Clicks stores following an online advertisement which the party labelled as “a racist act which undermines the dignity of black people”.
Several Clicks stores across the country have been damaged during protests this morning.

Earlier today, the EFF’s Commander-in-Chief, Julius Malema called for disciplinary action to be taken against those involved in the advertisement.

“Suspend the people involved who projects black people as ugly. Fire the company that commissioned the advert.”
The party said it was committed to enforcing the closure of 880 Clicks stores from Monday, 7 September to Friday, 11 September.
