Two trucks collide on R521, four confirmed dead

LIMPOPO – The Department of Transport and Community Safety’s media liaison officer, Mike Maringa, confirmed that one more person has died. 

The fatalities include both drivers and two passengers.

LIMPOPO – Traffic officials are on the R521, between Mokgwadi and Moletjie, to direct traffic following a head on collision which took place earlier.

Three people have been confirmed dead so far, according to the Department of Transport and Community Safety’s Media Liaison Officer, Mike Maringa.

“The trucks burst into flames after the collision, but the fire was extinguished shortly after,” Maringa’s statement read.

He told Review that the number of fatalities is likely to increase.

“The road is open for traffic and motorists are advised to drive with caution,” he concluded.
