Northern Academy finally opened their outdoor studio under the theme ‘new beginning, unlashing the future’.
To introduce the studio, the school hosted an opening show where everyone witnessed the cultural phenomenon of Northern Academy’s first studio production.
The event took place on Wednesday, 9 December and learners gave their best performances on stage. They portrayed the first days of high school and how learners tend to treat newcomers at school, and how to resolve issues around gender-based violence (GBV).
The learners danced and sang as they portrayed the song meaning.
The master of ceremonies for the day, Sello Kekana, gave the audience a story line as the others danced and acted behind him. Various cultural attire was worn as they performed.
