Luxury car with unauthorised emergency strobe lights impounded

The Polokwane Municipality's Spokesperson, Thipa Selala, says their officials have impounded two cars today for disobeying road laws.

POLOKWANE – Selala said a Volkswagen City Golf was impounded after it was found to be unroadworthy.

“The car also had an expired license disc and the driver does not have a driver’s licence,” he said.

Selala added that another car, a Mercedes Benz E250, was also impounded when officials discovered that the car had an illegal licence or plate number.

“The driver also has unauthorized dash mounted emergency strobe lights and a two-way radio. The driver, too, is not in possession of a driver’s licence,” he concluded.
