POLOKWANE – Family members are concerned about the whereabouts of 28-year-old Francois van Staden, who was last seen leaving his residence in Ivydale on Saturday, 16 January.

Review spoke to Francois’ father, Chris, who said he left the residence in pursuit of a job.

“He lost his job about a year and eight months ago, and goes out everyday, looking for a job. He left our house in Ivydale at around 10:00 and did not inform us where he was going. Francois usually informs us about where he went looking as soon as he returns home, however, this time he did not,” Chris explains.

He said they have contacted Francois’ friends in the hope that they have seen him, but no one has seen him. A missing person’s case has been opened at the Westenburg Police Station, Chris confirmed.

Francois was last seen wearing blue jeans, a black shirt, sandals and a camouflage hat.

“He is short, has short brown hair and blue-green eyes. Anyone with information should contact me at 082 040 3822 or Bekkie at 079 735 6897,” he concluded.
