Attorney shot dead during attack at Lebowakgomo home
The 58-year-old attorney was shot several times during the attack.
LIMPOPO – The Lebowakgomo police are investigating a case of murder after a 58-year-old man was shot and killed during an attack at a house in Zone R, Lebowakgomo on Friday, 12 February at around 19:00.
Police Spokesperson, Col Moatshe Ngoepe said Moleko Ratau, who is an attorney by profession, was reportedly talking on his cellphone when he was approached by an unknown number of men and shot several times.
“Neighbours who heard the gunshots, rushed the to the scene and found the deceased lying on the floor near the gate. Police and medical emergency personnel were summoned and upon arrival, found the man lying in a pool of blood. He was certified dead on the scene.”
The motive behind this incident is not known as yet and police have launched a manhunt for those involved in the matter.
