Fatal crash along R101 leaves three dead
The process of identifying the deceased is still underway, says the police.
LIMPOPO – The Bela-Bela police have opened a case of culpable homicide after three people died in a two-vehicle collision along the R101 on Friday, 12 February.
The collision between a sedan and SUV occurred at around 15:00 between Radium and the Codrington turn off, says Col Moatshe Ngoepe, Spokesperson for the Limpopo Police. He added that two people died on impact and another two others were seriously injured in the collision.
“The injured people were transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment where one, a woman, succumbed to her injuries. The remaining patient survived with serious injuries and he is still admitted in hospital.”
The process of identifying the deceased is still underway.
The cause of this accident is still not clear but investigations still continue.
