POLOKWANE – The selected learners were announced during a short ceremony held at the school on August 17.
School marketer Makhanani Chabala said the group will attend a leadership camp within the next couple of weeks where they will get to know one another, learn how to work effectively together and also identify their head leaders for 2022.
“The group consists of 30 girls and 30 boys who have shown leadership qualities throughout the year. We are extremely excited to have a new group of hard working and ambitious young minds to work with in the new year. It has been said that a true leader is one whose actions inspire others to do more and this group does not fall short of this. It feels like just yesterday when the 2021 leaders were inaugurated at a prestigious ceremony and now we are ready to bid them farewell. The 2022 leaders have massive shoes to fill but each year, whenever we as a school think the leadership of our learners could not get any better, we get a pleasant surprise,” Chabalala said.
She added that in September, teachers and the learners at the school will select a head boy and head girl as well as different heads of portfolios.
