Transformation event held at Ivydale

The community of Ivydale has taken it upon themselves to be agents of change.

POLOKWANE – This was done through the Ivydale Community Transformation event hosted on November 20. One of the team leaders who were part of organising the event, Nakedi Lekalakala, explained that looking at the crime and prostitution taking place in the area, the purpose of the event was to dedicate the land back to God.

“We wanted to take back control of the land because it was polluted by criminals. We gathered to pray to God to redeem the land,” she said.

She further explained that they invited kings from surrounding villages because they understand that the problems are not limited to Ivydale and every community has its own challenges that need to be overcome.

“With these kings on board, we stand a better chance of conquering the situation.”

During the transformation event, there was a repentance, declaration and dedication whereby Ivydale was dedicated to God.
