Akademie Reformia learners enjoy their entrepreneurial pursuit

Foundation phase learners at Akademie Reformia showcased their entrepreneurial skills during the school's market day held on the school premises on May 6.

POLOKWANE – Assisted by their supportive parents and guardians, learners took to the stalls in an attempt to sell sweets, cupcakes, confectionery, non-perishable food items and soft drinks to their peers.

Monene Anker, a Gr R teacher at the school, said with the initiative they also wanted to teach learners entrepreneurship and how to work with money.

“We had a lot of stalls manned by the learners and their parents. The learners sold various goods which were well received by their fellow learners. It is important for them to understand money and how to work with it, especially from an early age. We want to create future entrepreneurs and it is with these initiatives where we can achieve that goal.”

She added all proceeds from the event will go to the school fund.
