CAPVA hosts opening volleyball tournament
Capricorn District Volleyball Association kicks off the season with a thrilling tournament, celebrating top teams Dolphin and Valencia as champions.
POLOKWANE – The Capricorn District Volleyball Association hosted its opening tournament on February 8 at the Ngoako Ramatlhodi Sports Complex under the leadership of chairperson Phuti Mathekga and his team.
The tournament featured both men and women’s teams, drawing an enthusiastic crowd of supporters who cheered on their favourite teams throughout the day.
The event was filled with excitement as players showcased their talent and skills on the courts. Mathekga expressed gratitude to all participants: “We would like to thank all the teams for making this a successful opening district tournament. The tournament set the bar high for the rest of the season and congratulations to Dolphin Volleyball Club and Valencia Volleyball Club for being crowned champions – your hard work has finally paid off.”
The winning teams were awarded gold medals and a trophy, while the runners-up received silver medals.
