Keep the kids busy by making their own DIY pen stand

Why not keep the youngsters busy just before the school years begins, by helping them make their own personalised pen stand.

POLOKWANE –  Think out the box and you can come up with a winning masterpiece to rock the school year.

Here is what you will need:

1. Some toys or letters that will make up the theme for the pen stand.

2. Spray paint.

3. Glue.

4. Old pen caps.

Gather some old pen caps for the pan stand.

5. A small lid like a milk carton lid.

6. Something like a old CD to use as the base of the pen stand.

What you need to do:

• Decide on your design and stick the toys onto the base(CD). Remeber to leave a small space open for the smaller lid.

• Stick the small lid into place, mounting the pen caps upside down into the lid.

Stick the pen stand in the old milk cap with glue.

• Trim off any unwanted parts on the pen caps toys.

Stick everything together on the bace of the pen stand.

• Wait till it has all dries ad decide on a colour then spray the artwork.

• Insert the pens and there you have a personalised pen stand.

Stick your pens into your pen stand and you have a themed or personalised pen stand.
