Two children among five killed in N1-29 head-on collision

The cause of an early morning head-on collision that killed five people on the N1-29 is currently under investigation.

LIMPOPO – Two children were among five people killed in a head-on collision on the N1-29 Huddle Road this morning (November 21).

The Limpopo Department of Transport and Community Safety reports that a minibus taxi and a sedan collided and that the cause of the collision is unknown.

Transport spokesperson Tidimalo Chuene said the driver, two adults and two children from the minibus taxi were declared dead on the scene.

“Two other people with injuries were transported to nearby health facilities for medical attention,” a statement read.

Chuene added that the collision is under investigation and that the road is now open for motorists.
