More boots on the ground this festive season – Transport MEC
The provincial police commisioner Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe also emphasized that it is important for police to work together with communities to combat criminal activity.

POLOKWANE – No police officer will be allowed to take leave until January as per the minister’s instructions.
These are the words of the MEC for Transport and Community Safety Florence Radzilane during the launch of the provinical 2022/2023 Safer Festive Season Operation on the N1 South.
Radzilane spoke to the Polokwane Review-Observer and said that police will be hard at work this December to ensure the safety of both residents and visitors in Limpopo.
“During the national launch of the Safer Festive Season campaign. the Police Minister Bheki Cele was very clear that no police officer will be allowed to take leave during this period. We will be on the ground and hard at work,” she said.

Radzilane, together with the provincial police commisioner Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe emphasized that there will be more boots on the ground to enhance police visibility over the festive period.
Hadebe said it is important for police to work together with communities to combat criminal activity.
“We are expecting police visibility in all corners of our province and we must maintain peace and protection of the people so that they don’t become victims of crime,” Hadebe said.
She added that the police force is making a call to protect children and the elderly as they are the most vulnerable.
