More thunderstorms forecast for Polokwane this week

Afternoon and evening showers are expected in Polokwane from Tuesday onwards with a 'strong afternoon thunderstorm' forecast for Saturday (December 17).

POLOKWANE – More thunderstorm activity is forecast for the city this week as the El Nina phenomenon continues to bring wet weather to the eastern half of the country.

AccuWeather has forecast afternoon and evening thunderstorms from Tuesday onwards with a 40%-72% chance of showers.

Their forecast also suggests a ‘strong afternoon thunderstorm’ for Saturday (December 17).

Warm and humid conditions will accompany the thunderstorms with maximum temperatures expected to range from the high twenties to low thirties.

Tuesday (December 13) will reach a high of 26ºC, while Thursday will warm up to 30ºC.

Partly cloudy conditions are expected throughout the week.
