Power fault: No water in city and surrounds

Officials from Lepelle Northern Water have confirmed that electricians are working on locating the fault.

POLOKWANE – Water tankers have been provided to bring temporary relief, as the Polokwane Municipality confirmed that a power failure at the Ebenezer plant has interrupted water supply.

Municipal spokesperson Thipa Selala said the power failure led to the supply being interrupted as of 20:00 on Thursday.

There is currently no water flow to the city, while surroundings areas including Segwashi to Mankweng, and Seshego are also affected.

According to officials from Lepelle Northern Water, electricians are working on locating the fault.
