City’s waste collection will continue as scheduled over holiday period

Residents are also urged to not litter and are encouraged to use designated collection points to drop off their waste.

POLOKWANE – The Polokwane Municipality says household waste collection services will continue as scheduled over the upcoming holiday period.

Municipal spokesperson Thipa Selala said their dedicated team will be working diligently on March 21 and 29 as well as April 1 to ensure that waste is collected efficiently and effectively.

“Business waste collection will proceed as usual on regular collection days from Monday to Sunday.”

Selala urged residents against littering and to rather make use of skip bins for disposing of rubbish.

“The municipality encourages everyone to utilize designated collection points to drop off their waste bags, ensuring a clean and tidy environment for all. The cooperation of all customers in adhering to these waste disposal guidelines is greatly appreciated as we work together to maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of our community,” he said.
