Power outages to affect water supply weekly in Polokwane

Residents in several Polokwane suburbs will feel the effects of planned outages that will affect water supply every Wednesday and Friday starting tomorrow.

POLOKWANE – Power outages on the Ebenezer 33kV feeder will affect water supply in the city every Wednesday and Friday, says the Polokwane Municipality.

The outages have been scheduled from April 10 to May 24 between 06:00 to 12:00.

Municipal spokesperson Thipa Selala said these outages are necessary to conduct essential repairs and maintenance.

The maintenance work will impact water supply in Flora Park, Fauna Park, Bendor, Sterpark, Moeregloed, parts of Ladanna, Nirvana, and Ivy Park.

“Water tankers will be deployed to assist all affected areas during these periods. We urge residents to utilise these resources and store an adequate supply of water for essential needs during the specified maintenance hours,” Selala said.

Water issues can be reported to the following numbers:

The Municipal Call Centre on 015 290 2000/015 023 5000

The Water and Sanitation Helpline on 015 290 2376
