Manhunt launched for Polokwane CBD armed robbery suspects

Five armed suspects got away with a substantial amount of money following a business robbery in the Polokwane CBD on Wednesday evening.

POLOKWANE – The Police in Polokwane have launched a manhunt for five armed suspects responsible for a business robbery in the CBD on Wednesday evening.

Police spokesperson Colonel Malesela Ledwaba said the group robbed a grocery shop at the taxi center.

“According to preliminary reports, five armed suspects entered the shop just after it was closed at 18:30 and demanded the keys to the safe. They made off with a substantial amount of cash,” his statement read.

Ledwaba confirmed that the suspects were driving a white Toyota Quest with the registration FDK 345 L.

“Anyone with information that can lead to the arrest of the suspects should contact the Investigating officer Sergeant Mabula on 078 488 3535, the crime stop number on 08600 10111, the nearest police station or via MySAPSApp,” he said.
