3D Barrel Racing qualifiers at The Ranch a success

The riders competed in the morning and afternoon pole bending and racing competitions which expected them to be as fast as they could in the arena to beat a time record.

POLOKWANE – The Ranch Resort, in affiliation with the National Barrel Horse Association (NHBA) and Coca-Cola South Africa hosted the 3D Barrel Racing qualifiers at the Equestrian Centre on Saturday, where young and older riders from Limpopo took part.

The riders competed in the morning and afternoon pole bending and racing competitions which expected them to be as fast as they could in the arena to beat a time record.

The manager of The Ranch Equestrian Centre, Jaili Shearer told Polokwane Observer that the NHBA and Coca-Cola barrel racing show takes place twice a year at The Ranch, and once in the Hoedspruit area.

“We hosted a successful barrel racing qualifier and we see that this discipline of horse sports will grow as it is very interactive with spectators and showed a lot of camaraderie. Well done to all the riders, they’ve showcased their talents really well, along with their well trained horses that did well too. Thank you to everyone who participated, see you at the next one,” Shearer said.
