Don’t miss E-Rotary’s online auction tomorrow night

According to Rotarian Adéle van der Linde, this year, the auction dubbed ‘April Awesomeness’ is true to its name, with truly awesome items to bid on, all in the name of community building and strengthening funds.

The Rotary E-Club of Baobab’s online charity auction will be presented tonight (Thursday) at 19:00 and the list of items on offer will ensure that there is something for everyone.

According to Rotarian Adéle van der Linde, this year, the auction dubbed ‘April Awesomeness’ is true to its name, with truly awesome items to bid on, all in the name of community building and strengthening funds.

“This year, the SPCA joins forces with the E-Club to add to the excitement of the auction which will be held both on the WhatsApp social media chat platform, as well as live at the Polokwane Bowls Club, to allow for a wider audience. All bids, however, will be made on the WhatsApp group,” Van der Linde explained and stressed that it is imperative to contact her on 079 696 5625 to be added to the WhatsApp group.

The proceeds of the auction will be used for the benefit of the Rotary E-Club of Baobab’s community service projects or for the strengthening of the SPCA’s funds.

“This year there is truly something for everyone, but whiskey and wine connoisseurs can’t miss this opportunity, with collectors’ items on offer including a 12-year-old Clan Campbell whiskey and a 12-year old KWV brandy. Other items on auction include golf sets; a mountain bike, weekends away, a week at the Kruger Park Lodge, beauty and spa vouchers, a dining experience where the chef comes to you as well as a truly unique framed photograph with the signatures of 407 Springbok players from legends like Mannetjies Roux, to the more recent Tendai Mtwarira,” Van der Linde added.

The items on auction are on the WhatsApp group, but organisers reserve the right to add or withdraw any of the items without prior notice.

“Payments for items won in the auction must be made on or before May 3, 2024. If payment cannot be made within this period and no acceptable alternative arrangements are made with the organisers, the item will be offered to the runner-up in the bidding process,” Van der Linde confirmed.

“We thank you for your support and for partnering with us to make a difference in our communities. Your support means the world to us,” Van der Linde said.
