POLOKWANE – PEPPS College recently hosted a ‘bring and braai’ for the Gr 10-12 learners.
The learners got to put their meat on the grill while listening to good music and mingling with their peers under the close supervision of teachers.
Review asked some of the learners what makes the perfect braai plate?
Here is what they had to say:
Langa Nhlapo: Wors is definitely a must. There must also be people and a good vibe to make whatever is on the plate even better.Bokang Mothapo: The perfect braai plate has to have pap. That is the main thing and that can be followed by chakalaka, wors, chicken and beef. This plate can be washed down with an ice cold Sprite.Mfundo Sketana: The perfect braai plate is anchored by buns. Those are a must. Then steak and chakalaka. Also, unpopular opinion, there must also be chips for starch and a Sprite to drink.Matsobane Maselela: There is no braai without steak. Chicken can also be included but it is not a must.Mpho Sebota: Every braai must have wors and steak. This is accompanied by pap, beetroot and chakalaka. I would put this with Stoney.Khomotso Mminele: The perfect plate would have pap, chakalaka, beetroot, short ribs, wors and maybe chicken. The drink of choice is Coca-Cola.For more breaking news follow us on FacebookTwitter Instagram or join our WhatsApp group
