Noordelikes Rugby Club's third team wins Limpopo North Region Blue Bulls Rugby League championship, defeating Louis Trichardt in the final.

POLOKWANE – The third team of Noordelikes Rugby Club secured the championship title of the Limpopo North Region Blue Bulls Rugby League, after beating Louis Trichardt Rugby Club with a decisive 23-7 victory in the final match held in Louis Trichardt on September 7.

Schalk Pyper delivered a standout performance, earning the man of the match title after scoring three penalties and two tries in the first half. Additional contributions came from David Thompson and Mandagane Cindi, who successfully converted for Noordelikes.

Adam Adams, Noordelikes’ coach, praised the victory as a reflection of the team’s dedication and hard work throughout the season. “We were committed to the cause, and achieving this objective is incredibly special,” Adams said. “What made it even more rewarding was seeing our new players, who were in the finals for the first time, lifting the trophy. That moment was priceless.”

Adams also dedicated the victory to the club’s management for trusting him with the coaching role, saying, “I want to thank Noordelikes Rugby Club and the management for believing in my coaching philosophy. I also thank the players for their cooperation, my partner Chanise Lehark for her constant support, and my late sister Rochel Adams for always being there for me. A big ‘thank you’ to my parents, Roselien and William Adams, and to all Noordelikes supporters and the broader rugby community.”

Johan van Ravesteyn, the director of coaching at Noordelikes, expressed his excitement for the third team’s success, adding that he is optimistic about their future. “We had two teams in the finals this year, which shows the strength of our club. Congratulations to the third team, we are building a strong, high-spirited squad that plays enjoyable rugby. We hope to defend the title next season.”
