POLOKWANE – Last Friday, Eagle’s Nest Christian School hosted its highly anticipated Gr 7 entrepreneurship day.

Learners showcased a variety of products they crafted at home or purchased, selling them to make a profit at school.

Bertie de Lange, the principal of the primary school, said this special event is a key component of the economic and management sciences curriculum and aims to impart valuable lessons on responsibility, stewardship and the basics of entrepreneurship.

The day was a vibrant display of the learners’ creativity and innovation, as each Gr 7 learner embraced the role of a young entrepreneur, gaining insight into the business sector.

“From crafting business plans to managing budgets and marketing their products, these events allow learners to develop remarkable skills and a deep understanding of what it takes to run a successful business. This hands-on experience highlights the joys and challenges of entrepreneurship and highlights the importance of wise resource management,” De Lange explained.

“We are incredibly proud of our Gr 7 learners for their hard work, dedication and enthusiasm. This experience will serve as a valuable stepping stone as they continue to learn about effective resource management.
