POLOKWANE – The family of Martin Botha, a 41-year-old man, is urgently seeking the community’s help as he has been missing since October 16.

Martin was at the Pietersburg Provincial Hospital with his mother for her medical consultations, but he unexpectedly wandered off, leaving his family deeply concerned.

Martin struggles with Alzheimer’s disease and has significant mental challenges. Without his necessary medication, he can easily become disoriented and confused, making it difficult for him to navigate his surroundings and find his way home.

When last seen, Martin was dressed in blue jeans and black sneakers, paired with a grey and black spotted hoodie. It is possible that he was also wearing a black mask.

Martin carries a blue lanyard that holds a medical tag, featuring his sister Anneline van der Vyver’s contact number.

The family pleads with the community: if you see Martin, please help him by taking him to the nearest police station or by calling Anneline van der Vyver at 084 810 3815 or Marlien Jordaan at 076 056 8485.
