POLOKWANE – Laerskool Pietersburg Noord Primary (Noordskool) celebrated the inauguration of its new leaders for 2025 with a special ceremony held in the school hall last Wednesday.
The event was attended by proud parents, staff, and students as the new leadership team was announced and appointed.
Principal Greg Schoeman opened the ceremony by welcoming the incoming leaders and their families.
The new head girl, Abongwe Jele, and head boy, Sepadi Maleka, were formally appointed, with the outgoing leaders, head girl Ronewa Manganyi and head boy Lesiba Legodi, passing on their roles.

Parents had the honour of placing the leadership badges on their children’s jerseys on stage during the ceremony.
“I’m not going to say you have big shoes to fill, you’re all going to fill your own shoes. You do not only have to set an example for the leaders but you’re here to set examples for the whole school,” Schoeman said to Jele and Maleka, as well as to their deputies, Khomotso Shai and Khanani Khoza.

In their farewell speeches, Manganyi and Legodi shared heartfelt words as they reflected on their time in leadership.
“To my fellow learners, embrace challenges and support one another. It was such a privilege to be part of this school, and I will forever cherish my achievements and my love for this school. Goodbye and good luck to next year’s leaders,” said Legodi.

Manganyi expressed gratitude and encouragement for the year ahead. “What a year it has been. I’m grateful to all my teachers and my mom for the support I’ve received throughout. All the best to all the learners for the year 2025,” she concluded.
