POLOKWANE – Three foreign nationals will appear before the Polokwane Magistrate’s Court soon on possession charges as well as the transportation of illicit cigarettes and contravention of the Immigration Act 13 of 2002.
The trio were arrested along the R71, Dalmada, outside Polokwane in the early hours of Friday morning (November 22).

Police spokesperson Colonel Malesela Ledwaba says patrolling members of the provincial Flying Squad spotted two suspicious vehicles driving in convoy before stopping them.
“The two bakkies were found loaded with boxes of illicit Royal Express cigarettes worth an estimated street value of R190k,” his statement reads.

The provincial police commissioner Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe welcomed the arrest.
