16 Days Against GBV: Break the cycle and get help

The 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence campaign comes to a close and aimed to eradicate violence against women and children.

POLOKWANE – According to unwomen.org, every 10 minutes, a woman is killed.

The 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence campaign begins on Monday, coinciding with the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. This campaign lasted until December 10, which is International Human Rights Day.

This year’s theme is “30 Years of Advancing Collective Action to End Violence Against Women and Children.”

The campaign focuses on addressing the root causes of gender-based violence and femicide (GBVF), promoting positive masculinity, advocating for gender equity, and creating economic opportunities for women and children.
