Thohoyandou girl (14) raped 3 times in one day

Vhembe detectives hunt for three men after a 14-year-old girl was raped by her boyfriend and then again by two unknown men in a separate incident.

LIMPOPO –

Three counts of rape and one for kidnapping are being investigated after an incident involving a 14-year-old girl from Thohoyandou.

According to a statement from Limpopo police spokesperson Colonel Malesela Ledwaba, the girl left home early in the morning on her way to school on Friday (September 5), and did not return.

“It is believed that the victim was taken by her boyfriend, a 20-year-old local taxi driver. She was taken to his home, where he raped her, put her back in the car and later instructed her to get out and walk back home.”

Her ordeal did not end there, as according to reports, later that same day, as she walked home, a car with unknown number plates stopped next to her.

Two men inside the car forced her into it, drove to another location, and both subsequently raped her, then let her go.

Due to the time, she made it to a friend’s house where she spent the night, returning home the following day (Saturday, September 6). She then told her mother what had happened.

A case of rape with three counts was registered and transferred to the Thohoyandou Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences (FCS) Unit for further investigation, and the victim was taken to the local hospital for treatment.

“Her boyfriend’s identity is known to police and is currently on the run, while the other two men remain unknown,” says Ledwaba.

Anyone with information that can assist the police is urged to contact the Investigating Officer, Constable Ratshili Shumani Colbert on 082 227 9049, the nearest police station, Crime Stop 08600 10111, or the MySAPS App.
