Former Mokopane resident Thato Allen earns spot as Mrs SA 2026 semi-finalist

Former Mokopane resident Thato Allen has been named a semi-finalist in the Mrs South Africa 2026 class, describing the moment as a rediscovery of herself.

MOKOPANE – Former local resident Thato Allen has been named a semi-finalist in the Mrs South Africa 2026 class, joining over 100 women set to embark on the “MBA of Life”.

“The moment I became a semi-finalist, I realised that grief and strength can co-exist. Mrs South Africa didn’t just give me a platform; it gave me permission to rediscover the woman I thought I had lost,” Allen says.

She received the news at a live casting event on January 31 at Clearwater Mall in Johannesburg.

Powered by iME, Mrs South Africa is more than a pageant. It is a structured leadership and empowerment programme that supports women in personal growth, community impact, and professional development.

Semi-finalists participate in workshops, mentorship, media training, and public engagements, all designed to build confidence and inspire change.

Allen, a personal trainer, says her journey has been shaped by both loss and resilience.

“I found strength in lifting others, but it took losing a baby to finally lift myself. Mrs South Africa met me at the intersection of grief and reinvention. I am here for every mother who has mourned in silence and every woman who has been underestimated,” she explains.

Mrs South Africa CEO Joani Jacobs highlights the programme’s transformative impact.

“It demands commitment and discipline. Women often discover parts of themselves they never knew existed. It empowers them to become their true selves and achieve their goals.”

As a semi-finalist, Allen will continue balancing personal and professional responsibilities while representing her community on a national stage.

“I want to use this platform to change the way we see strength, both in grief and in the gym,” she adds.

Mrs South Africa 2026 is made possible by its sponsors: iME, PR Worx, Chery Krugersdorp, Skin Renewal, Lamelle, Hirsch’s Home store, Brentoni Eyewear, BTL Aesthetics, Slimz, PKF Octagon, Hotel Sky, iStyle, Action Coach, Collagen Lift Paris, Catrice, Vitalefemme, Busamed, Health Food Emporium with Nutriseed, Alvi Armani, Style and Image, Pont de Val and Dotsure.
