Long drives, perfect putts at President’s Golf Day

Top scores, long drives and great company defined the Polokwane Golf Club Presidential Golf Day, with 100 players competing for top honours.

POLOKWANE – The annual Polokwane Golf Club Presidential Golf Day was hosted last Friday, which saw 100 players bringing their A-game in the hope of finishing the day among the top scorers.

The day started with the ceremonial tee off by club president Aaron Segwapa with the rest of the players taking to the field for a shotgun start.

Top scores and long drives steal the spotlight

In the ladies division, Sheralyn Janse van Rensburg and Joline Bothma scored 43 points earning them the overall first place.

Joline also scored with the longest drive for ladies on the second hole.

Piet du Toit and Jacques de Jager claimed victory in the men’s division with a score of 48 points.

Jacques added to his overall win by claiming the prize for nearest to the pin on the fourth hole.

The day concluded with the prize-giving ceremony followed by live entertainment, networking and socialising.
